I believe I can fly!

Daily writing prompt
How are you feeling right now?

Well, the last time I was asked this question, it was by my hubby dearest, he was calling from office to check on my health, when I was down with a minor ailment; and also by the doctor, who was treating me. Instantaneously, I ranted off explaining the physical symptoms causing discomfort and I was fit as a fiddle in no time.

But today, when I’m asked the same question, I have had to think through. I’ve had to evaluate my emotional state of mind and it did some introspection.

Today, I’m experiencing a plethora of emotions, a childlike enthusiasm bouncing with energy and excitement. I’m filled with love and gratitude as it happens to be my father’s birthday and I’m blessed to have him and the rest of my loving family members in my life.

I’m super psyched for the weekend, especially for the upcoming intriguing cricket match between India and Pakistan. Looking forward to watch it with my little one, get her all pumped up just like I used to, when I watched it with my dad; it was our special father-daughter ritual. I want to have this similar tradition with her too, so that she can write or laugh about it some day.

At the beginning of this new month, I’m filled with optimism, at the limitless opportunities that lie in front of me. I’m treading on a path that I have never been before, doing things that challenge me both physically and intellectually. Yes, there are moments of self doubt; but, then they immediately fade away, like a child, I bounce back, Coz, I know I have my Lord watching over me and have faith that with him by my side, I believe, I can fly, I believe, I can touch the sky!
