Patience & Time

There is a very famous saying in Hindi language: ‘समय से पहले और भाग्य से ज्यादा कुछ नहीं मिलता’, which means: ‘You will receive what you are destined to, when the time is right.’

On one of the days, when I was extremely restless and ranting to myself about all the things that were not going right and as planned; I happened to play an old sermon of my God Mother. In the sermon she asked everyone a simple question, “if you are on a flight from Delhi to Mumbai, which takes approximately two hours, no matter how much you scream or impatiently walk in the aircraft, can the pilot reduce the flying time?”; to which, the attendees replied, “No”. then she said, “you all trust the pilot and remain seated in your seat, till you reach your destination, am I right?, So have faith in the ultimate pilot, he will give you what you deserve, when the time is right.”

Life has taught me a lot of valuable lessons, but the one that I hold on to closest is, things will happen when they are meant to happen, we need to do our bit earnestly and then sit back, relax and let the ultimate PIC (pilot in charge) work his magic.

Thank you for reading, have a blessed day!
