Are Super Heroes for real, or just a myth. Are they fictatious characters that come alive on big screens to merely entertain and give us a glimmer of hope. Well, if you believe in the latter; I would not blame you because you haven’t met any real superheores, like my brothers, my Veers!
My sister and I have been blessed to have some really special eternal bonds that defy all human logic and sensibilities. My veers can put all the Marvel characters to shame, make them feel inadequate. Before you completely dismiss my statement; let me tell you about them. Well, generally the job description of any super hero is to rescue people in peril, those who are lost in treacherous labyrinths.
My veers do the exact opposite, they patiently stay put, walk the path with us through and through, never question any of our decisions or judge emotional breakdowns. They do not rush to fight our battles, but give us the strength and belief that we are capable to cross any dark alleys or overcome obstacles. Empowering us to discover our own strength and resillience.
One lesson I learnt from them is that the situational maze we call life, has innumerable tests, which we must all individually navigate. They are not designed to confine or limit us; but to reveal the beauty of our inner-strength and cherish the valuable relationships we make on the way.
This day of Raksha-bandhan, an auspicious Indian festival; my sister and I are blessed to celebrate with our heroes, our Veers. Both of us may fail to follow the ritualistic practice of tying rakhis on your wrists; but we will never fail to offer a prayer for your well-being and gratitude. May you prosper and get what ever your heart desires. We truly wish that all sisters around the world are blessed to have Veers just like each of you.
Happy Raksha bhandan Veerey!
