What seems ideal now, may no longer appeal to the heart tomorrow, thus is the nature of never ending lust of desires. Like a child, it becomes restless, when it crosses paths with anything attractive; creating endless ripples of internal turmoil, unless it is acquired, owned or possessed. This insatiable greed is the result of wars, hatred and enmity overpowering human kind.
I too in my head, had painted a beautiful canvas of an ideal home, a space that my hubby and I could call our own. And in our urge to fulfill it, we got lured by some builders and made some rather hasty decisions, the price of which we are still paying. But, it did teach us some valuable lessons too, to have the belief that what is meant for you, will be given to you eventually, till then, have patience.
In 2019, we purchased a space that we could call our own, each corner of which was aesthetically designed mostly by my hubby and a guiding force, far more wise than us. While designing the interiors, we would stand and admire a certain corner or room of the house, how a certain piece of furniture or artifact was just meant to be there, how it complemented the entire space.
Our home is special to us, a sacred sanctuary for the three of us to explore our creative side, do things that we love individually and together. A place where we pray, laugh and celebrate occasions and festivals with family and friends with great pleasure. This space, we call it our home and it is ideal for us!
