How do you relax?

Put my feet on top, hold a nice beverage in one hand and the TV remote in the other, surrender myself to mindless entertainment for a couple of hours; this would have been my answer to this question, if I were asked a couple of years ago. That was the initial lifestyle, my only avenue to rest my body and mind after a grueling day or week at work. Managing a baby, home and the unpredictable demands of the corporate world would take a toll and this was the easiest escape.

Now my definition of relaxation has changed, its no longer to do with resting the physical body, but controlling of the mind. I relax best when I’m involved in activities, a good work out does the trick, house hold chores, sipping a cuppa, watering the plants, writing – my new found passion helps me unwind. But I’m the most relaxed, when I’m dancing, swaying to the rhythmic beats of any foot-tapping music. At times, I feel I was born to dance; the world is my stage, the sounds of nature my music, so I’m gonna wear my dancing shoes and groove till I forever drop. Wanna join me!
