Life Hacks – What Is That?

I am from a generation that does not believe in life hacks. And, as my daughter would put it—not me—my view on the subject is “too preachy.”

To be honest, I had to google the definition of the term before attempting to write this blog. Because all this while, I have only heard of the word ‘hack’ which means to unlawfully enter someone’s device to gather personal information.

Before you think I belong to the stone age, hang on, I have seen some famous insta hack-reels too.

Well, I do not have one but two views on life-hacks. Firstly, only a person with absolute expertise or mastery in a particular field can share life-worthy hacks. And secondly, looking for hacks does not only reflect lack of patience, but also disrepect towards the learning process. Now you know why my daughter refers to my views as “too preachy.”

If you’ve been reading along, you would have realised that I have no life-hacks to share with you. Because I do not have complete mastery in any field nor do I believe in tricks or shortcuts.

But I do, do a thing which I enjoy and others notice and often compliment me on – so much for humility… I smile a lot!

I smile while working out at the gym, while writing, working, cooking, walking and especially while listening to music. It is not a life hack, but a way of life.
