Naina Thag Lenge

On this beautiful rainy wednesday afternoon, a soulful song plays in the background. Compelling me to think and seek answers from my higher being, on why I let my mind wander and chase meaningless things. Alas a poetic epipheny awakens my inner wisdom, urges me to write my thoughts down.

Everwhere I see, there are things that glitter and shine,

Appealling to this untamed mind of mine.

Distracting my inner core, leaving me astray.

Shattering my pride of living a disciplined regime break.

All that glitters is not gold,

Something I remember being told.

But still, I let my eyes fool me,

Taking me miles away from my higher inner beliefs.

What am I to do, I get allured to the addictive nature of technology,

Spend endless hours, making it difficult for me to break free.

It is time to take a stand and make a change,

Salvage the breaths that I have left to take.

Oh! how and what am I to do,

Just then an inner voice revealed this hidden truth.

In complete surrender and incessant remembrance of the Supreme Lord,

Praise the one that created you, this enchanting world and its melodious chords.

This should be your true purpose and your goal.

Spend your time this way, with His Grace and bring true happiness to your soul.
